Mobile Rental FAQ

  • All private sauna rentals include the following:

    • Our luxury mobile, cedar, wood-fired sauna

    • Cold plunge tub

    • Cooling/changing room

    • Free delivery, setup/pickup, and brief orientation anywhere within our operating limits.*  We will provide a quote for extra travel based on location and rental duration.

    • Two bundles of dried hardwood (good for ~4 hours of sauna use). We sell additional bundles for $10/bundle if needed

    • Bucket, ladle, and aromatherapy oils

    • A unique wellness experience, wherever you are!

  • Of course! We will spend a few minutes together for a brief orientation of our mobile sauna. We will also leave behind written directions

  • We provide two bundles to get your first couple sessions going.

    Seasoned wood (< 20% moisture) from the grocery store/gas station should be fine in a pinch!

    Using the following wood will not only harm the sauna but could potentially harm you:

    • NEVER use wood containing tree sap

    • NEVER burn painted, stained or pressure treated wood

    • NEVER use fresh cut or wet wood

  • Tonka Sauna is off grid and very portable!

    If you're not the property owner, you must have their permission

    1. Parking area must be relatively flat

    2. Parking area must be relatively firm--Cement, gravel, grass, dirt, hard-packed snow OK

    3. Parking area must be at least 18 ft long X 12 ft wide

    4. Any gates must be 12 ft wide

    5. Any overhanging trees, etc. must be 12 ft+ high

    6. Parking area must be free of debris, like animal waste or mud

    7. After snowfall, roads & parking area must be plowed and/or shoveled

    8. We DO NOT provide water for cold dump bucket or plunge pools

    9. If renting plunge pools, we must be able to dispose of water at or close to the parking area

General Sauna FAQ

  • Stay Hydrated - Drink plenty of water.

    Limit Time - Sauna sessions should be 15-20 minutes max; rest and cool down between rounds.

    No Alcohol, Drugs, or Smoking - Impaired use is unsafe

    No Food, Glass, or Breakables - Only bring clear liquids inside.

    Use a Towel - Always sit on a towel and wipe down surfaces after use. Do not bring staining items (e.g. Red Wine).

    No Metal Jewelry or Oils - They can overheat or damage the sauna

    Supervise Children - Under 18 years old must be with an adult at all times

    Respect the Heat - Exit immediately if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unwell

    Be Considerate - Keep the sauna clean and safe for the next guests

  • Our sauna can comfortably hold 10 full size adults however, up to 12 people can fit in the sauna.

    The sauna also has a spacious changing room to cool off between sessions.

  • Saunas are for the whole family! Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

  • All our windows are tinted and difficult to see through from the outside!

    Dimming lights to the lowest setting at night maintains privacy while still allowing you to gaze outward (we recommend lying on the bench and looking at the stars!)
